This Privacy Policy describes how SocialSnap ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify store.
1. Information we collect
When you install the App, we access certain information from your Shopify account and your connected Instagram account:
- Store information: store name, domain, email address, and Shopify plan, provided via the Shopify API.
- Product information: product titles, images, prices, and URLs, used to power shoppable post tagging.
- Instagram content: media (posts, Stories, captions, permalinks) and basic profile information from the Instagram account you connect, via the official Meta APIs.
- Usage data: anonymised analytics such as feed impressions and click-throughs, used to display performance metrics in your dashboard.
We do not collect or store your customers' personal information, payment details, or order data.
2. How we use your information
- To display your Instagram feed, Stories, and shoppable posts on your storefront.
- To sync your product catalog for product tagging.
- To provide analytics about feed performance.
- To provide customer support and communicate service updates.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing your information
We do not sell your data. We share information only with service providers necessary to operate the App (such as hosting providers), with Shopify and Meta as required to provide the App's functionality, or where required by law.
4. Data retention
We retain your data only while the App is installed. When you uninstall the App, access tokens are revoked and store data is deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
5. Your rights
Depending on your location (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
6. Cookies
The App's storefront widget does not set tracking cookies. Our dashboard may use essential cookies required for authentication and session management only.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and encrypted storage of access tokens, to protect your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
